Question about how to change colour for custom icons?

Hey guys! I don't know how to create icons so I always hire a graphic designer to create them. Whenever I get icons from them, I can never change the colour in Elementor. Are there certain settings that the icons must be saved in Adobe or what steps do I have to take in order to be able to do this?
